About The Position

We are seeking an NPI & Configuration Engineer to lead the transition from design to scalable production, own configuration governance across all product lines, and ensure seamless alignment between R&D, Operations, and our international manufacturing partners. This role is key to building robust, well-controlled, and highly efficient production processes for XTEND’s next-generation platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Own, build, and maintain all production documentation, including BOMs, routings, product specifications, work instructions, assembly drawings, and variant structures.
  • Lead the full New Product Introduction (NPI) process from design to mass production.
  • Full ownership of configuration management across all product lines: structure, part numbering, revision governance, change control, and documentation.
  • Manage configuration alignment with global subsidiaries and partner sites, ensuring BOMs, revisions, and documentation remain synchronized across regions.
  • Lead cross-site configuration reviews and audits with international stakeholders (e.g., US, Singapore and additional partner locations).
  • Participate in design reviews, risk mitigation, and cross-functional decision-making during development stages.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Manufacturing Engineering to define and optimize production procedures.
Requirements
  • B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in NPI and configuration management of complex multidisciplinary systems (drones, robotics, electro-mechanical hardware, lasers, electronics)-mandatory
  • Proven experience managing multi-configuration BOM structures, modular product architectures, and large-scale variant trees. -mandatory
  • Strong experience with ERP Priority
  • Technical background with hardware components, including writing work instructions, assembly documentation, and component replacement procedures.
  • Deep understanding of configuration governance, revision control, part numbering methodologies, and document management.
  • Independent, proactive, and highly structured mindset with the ability to own tasks end-to-end and manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; Excel is a strong advantage. 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with data-driven configuration, automation tools, PowerQuery, or Python.
  • UAV/drone industry experience.
  • Experience with production processes such as: SMT, Injection Molding
